A Business Improvement District (BID) is a public-private partnership in which a publicly supported, privately managed organization is created to improve
the physical environment and enhance public services and investments in a geographically distinct urban, commercial neighborhood. The primary purpose
of the district is to create improved economic opportunities, security, and a business climate among BID members. Successful BIDs go beyond
addressing just infrastructure repairs and maintenance, they also create a community, increase security, lead to increased business activity and increase property values.
The AADF is implementing Shkodra BID in partnership with the Municipality of Shkodra along November 28th – December 13th – Kol Idromeno Streets. The BID Association and the Municipality collaborate to host events which gather the community and promote the area.

 

Extended in the former piazza at the center of the City, BID (Business Improvement District) Shkoder, brings together the entrepreneurs of the area for promoting and increasing the business/hospitality activity in the area. Established since 2013, BID Shkodra area offers a variety of products and services from the premises it holds. Well known fashion brands in Albania such as; LC Waikiki, Max Optika and Perla, can be found in BID area.
The weekend may be enjoyed in the bars and pubs such as Retro Pub, Bllok Coffee, Fontana Bar-Restaurant, Shamrock Irish Pub, Country Club, etc. Shkodra traditional joy of living the music may be found in Bar Restaurant Cliché, San Francisko Restaurant, Sofra or Oborri Shkodran. At the end, an enjoyable desert may be tasted in the confectionaries Bell’ Italia, Rinia and the sweet Flo. In the bars such as Karma Coffee, Chicago Bar, Independent Bar, Centro, Oaz you can enjoy your coffee accompanied by a magazine, newspaper or book.
In the very center of Shkodra’s “heart” may be found “Marubi” National Museum of Photography, a MUST destination. Beyond its historical façade recently restored, the museum offers a contemporary space that exposes the gems of the Albanian photography. The studios and galleries of the well-known artists of the city, the descendants of Kol Idromeno, Simon Rrota and Lin Delia, are located very close to the museum.

 

 

Over thirty cultural-artistic activities organized in the city of Shkodra every year, are extended through the BID area. Shkodra Carnavals, Flowers Day, November  Celebrations, Youth Festival, Jazz Fest, Music Summer Nights, Artisans Day, Vespa  and Friends, Light Fest parade through two kilometers pedestrian area.
