Often we think that any destination we like is accessible, it is enough to want to go there, prepare the things for the trip, throw them in the car and go. In fact, it is not always the case because traveling a geographical distance by car or other means is not everything for a trip, because many other aspects must be coordinated within an often short time of only a few hours; places to see, proper stops, food, accommodation, etc., but above all the efficiency of movements. That’s why travel agents were born, who deal with everything, in order for you to enjoy the best part of a tourist package; the pleasure of travel. We are confident that the itineraries offered below from “te Stela” Tours, will fully meet your expectations!

  1. The Church of Çetë , located in the village of Çetë, is a rare Romano-Gothic monument in Albania. This monument is the only one that is fully preserved in our country and represents a building of this architectural style that extends to the southernmost border of the country (Meksi, 1983). The church was built in the 13th century, during a period when the Catholic Church began its activities in this region with the center of the archbishopric in Durrës. It was widely used by members of the Catholic faith.
  2.  The monumental Illyrian tombs of Lower Selca are located 40 km away from Pogradec, in the mountainous region of Mokra. The prosperity of this area increased significantly with the construction of the Egnatia road. Selca is situated along this road, which connected the upper valley of Devoll with the settlements of Greek colonists. In this area, five impressive monumental tombs have been discovered, dating back to the end of the 4th century B.C., which are unique in Europe due to their application. Four of these tombs are carved as tunnels into the rock, and one is surrounded by rectangular stone blocks.
  3. The Mosaic of Lin is a cultural monument located in Lin, Pogradec, Korçë. It is a cultural monument recently mentioned by researchers as an 8,000-year-old settlement, the oldest in Europe. This mosaic was discovered during excavations in 1969 in Lin, Pogradec. The excavations revealed an Illyrian settlement that dates back to the Iron Age and extends to the early Middle Ages. Among the mosaics discovered at this site, the wealth of diverse zoomorphic, floral, and geometric decorations stands out, possessing notable artistic values. Artistically, the mosaics resemble the style of a broad Balkan region, including cities such as Durrës (Dyrrahu), Stobi, Thessaloniki, and other advanced cities of the time.
  4. The Mosaic of Arapaj dates back to the 6th century AD. The discovery of the Basilica of Saint Michael from the same century, along with the mosaic, was made in 1974. The basilica consists of the apse, altar, halls, atrium (courtyard), two funerary annexes to the north and south, and more. In the funerary annex, there are two emblems of the Eucharist and pastoral care, which make it a high-quality work of art both in composition and execution. Materials used include marble cubes, bricks, glass paste, and others. Below the emblem of the Eucharist, there is a tomb with a cylindrical arch in which two individuals were buried, one male and one female.
  5. Rabdisht narrow streets. About 5 km from the city of Peshkopi, you will be amazed by the village, which is part of the 100 tourist villages, often mentioned as one of the most beautiful and closest points to the city. Today, it is one of the attractions most frequented by local tourists who visit the thermal baths, as well as those who come for adventure. With an impressive late medieval stone architecture, this village has been hidden for a long time, but today, with new infrastructure, it is fully accessible and very interesting.
